WHY WE HAVE CREATED A BLOG SITE
There’s been a lot of debate in our nation about pesticides and fertilizers causing harm to humans and the environment. To sort fact from fiction, the Western Plant Health Association has posted a blog page on its Web home site in an attempt to solicit public participation in an informative discussion about these vital tools used in home gardening and commercial crop production.
It is our sincerest goal to objectively weigh both sides of the issues we present, in an honest attempt to use science and common sense in explaining – and in many cases dispelling – commonly held opinions about pesticides and fertilizers. We welcome a fair exchange of ideas in this public domain. Please allow at least 48 hours during weekdays for a response to your comments, and please be advised that profanity and harsh criticism that does not add anything positive to the debate will be edited.
WPHA has lined up seasoned university and industry agronomists, biologists, entomologists and other experts from a wide range of disciplines dealing with food production and plant nutrition, to assist in answering your questions. Please feel free to engage us in this robust exchange of ideas at
