With the busy season upon us, tons of anhydrous ammonia will be transported from ports and railcars to retail facilities. And with this comes the first real season of using the safer hose fittings that WPHA's Transportation Committee has encouraged. The new fittings require the use of a gasket or O-ring. To remind drivers and Ag Retailers to check for this important new piece of equipment, WPHA's Transportation Committee developed stickers to place on the end caps or bulk heads of the trucks and retail tanks. The committee suggests one or two per tank. Nurse tanks will not be affected by this change so stickers are not needed for nurse tanks.
